Annual General Meeting

PFSAC Flounder Competition
Forty-six senior and three juniors signed on for the Federation’s most recent competition aiming to take one of the rapidly diminishing opportunities to pocket some cash as a reward for pulling out a big Flounder from somewhere.
Although there was no shortage of local knowledge and experience amongst the competitors, once again the mild winter seemed to place restriction on catches and only five fish were presented at the weigh in on Sunday with a father and daughter scooping the prizes in both the Senior and Junior events.
Nine year
old Lauren Ancill won a new fishing reel and a £10.00 tackle voucher with her very first fish that weighed 1 lb. 10 oz whilst a 2 lb. 9 oz specimen
earned the Rodbenders’ member, Mark, a handful of fivers and tens that totalled £120.
Runner up was the Weigh Master for the event, Steve Avery of Roving Rods, who won £70 for his 2 lb. 6 oz fish whilst unattached angler Steve Bromilow was third and won £40 for a Flounder of2 lb. 4 oz.
